Aurora Accessibility Survey and Events
The city of Aurora is developing a plan to identify, evaluate, and fund accessibility updates in infrastructure, services, and programs. You can help by completing a brief survey by 11/30/2024 or coming to an town meeting.
The first phase of planning is underway, focusing on our core programs and public right-of-way infrastructure. Additional phases will examine the city’s emergency management operations, parks and recreation programs and infrastructure, and city buildings, facilities and parking structures.
Aurora residents and businesses are invited to participate in the project by responding to the Public Accessibility Survey. The survey will help identify accessibility issues in Aurora in order to develop a transition plan to eliminate barriers in the public right-of-way, including sidewalks, curb ramps, and other pedestrian facilities.
The city of Aurora will also host Town Hall Meetings to share feedback on public right-of-way accessibility.
