Developmental Pathways is proud to present:

Conversations for Change

A series of small, intimate community discussions between our agency and the disability community.

To lead our community through local, state, and federal updates, as well as open the floor to dialogue, listening, and brainstorming. The goal is to understand what is working for individuals and families in services and what could be improved.

During these sessions, members of our leadership team facilitate heart-to-heart dialogues about the disability system.

From covering upcoming systems changes to listening to success stories, wins, and the challenges of our individuals and families locally and nationally, these conversations are intended to help Developmental Pathways understand what is most important to those we serve.

These events are co-hosted by community members, provider agencies, individuals and families, and community partners in locations connected to the disability community.

Here to listen, share, and brainstorm about upcoming changes, challenges, and impacts on our community

In these sessions, we discuss what we could do as an organization, individuals, or families; what actions we can take locally, statewide, and nationally; and what issues may benefit from DP-level advocacy.

For example, big statewide changes are discussed, such as Case Management Redesign (CMRD). CMRD consists of several initiatives that help make accessing long-term services and supports easier by changing case management agencies to serve all HCBS waivers, so people can access the services they need in a single place.

Through our sessions, our goal is to find out what works well and what could be improved. For example, in to-date discussions with providers, families in Early Intervention, families and individuals in services, and others, we heard how we can better focus our energy on what’s most important, as outlined below.
